Newbie (Cut Hair After 8 Years of braidds) (Pics Included)

Cut my hair last saturday (7/18) after having braids for 8 years. I shower brush everyday I wash my hair every 2-3 days and i condition every day. I dry brush 30-45 minutes a day (3-4 times a day) and I brush using the H20 method twice a day. Any tips or methods would be greatly appreciated

From the looks of the pics you have the basics covered, a brush, moisturizer and shampoo. Your hair texture looks straight. It may be necessary for you to grow your hair out to a longer length because you need a slight curl in order to form waves.

Waves are a process not a singular event. The biggest tip that I can give you is to patient and consistent with brushing and moisturizing. You may also want to contact another community member that has a similar texture. That way you can get that members experience versus the opinion of another waver with a different texture hair. What works for one person may not work for another person. Be flexible and good luck.
