I have a question.

Is it possible for a haircut to actually cut out your wave pattern? My friends Dad said that if your barber cuts too low, ,you lose your waves. Until recently, I've been getting #2's, so does that mean I've been starting over each time?

yes u can lose some of ur waves if ur hair is not trained and the cut is to low.

copied from jiggy
I spend a lot of time in the mirror trying to monitor my progress. After the cuts, my ripples were gone. If your ripples get cut out, then your waves won’t form. When you lose ripples, you keep starting over with every cut. That sounds like what is happening to you.[i][u]
