How can I talk to this girl whos totally different from me?

just want to talk to her without looking like a dumbass..

The thing is this girl is different, she white and no where near preppy or popular, but in her own way she is..Shes the type that doesnt hate, world peace, etc.

We take honors biology to step my credits up, so we got some ppl in that class that do some WEIRD stuff, that turn out funny for some reason--I got humor in that class that ppl like..and she realizes that, but so I probably have creditability if I wanted to talk to her

I sit right behind her in science, I pretend I dont regard her and she..doesnt regard me that much.

Now Im not scared to talk to her, but its how I do it..Shes not the type that will fall for a G..or the type that hangs out with preps or rolls with the popularity if you know what i mean..

So how can I even talk to this girl and start small talk?
