Ok from the pic's yo hair looks naturally curly so I would say comb it out in the direction
that u brush and brush with a mid. or a hard brush if yo head can take it
when you du-rag try use'n the h2o method with yo du-rag on

i think u got too much grease in your hair, you need to let your hair breathe unoe

you got some training to do but once you get it right you waves will be super sick

check it do a good wash tonight mean brush in the shampoo in really good to take out all them products you have caked up in your hair. Than get your condintioner and brush than in and leave it in for a min. After wash that out hop out the shower brush brush brush and du rag with a wave cap under it and see if that helps

invest in a comb

It just looks a tad bit matted. Meaning that your hair is pressed to your head very tightly. You may want to consider combing through to uncoil some of the curls. After combing through, begin to brush that will begin the training process for your wave pattern. If you read through the site and begin to brush with purpose, you will be just fine.

but yeah jus read up on threads. get a nice medium and hard brush. most ppl use annie and diane. i like the diane 8118 as my medium but 1 of 'em got weak and the bristles 2 weak 2 b med & 2 strong 2 b soft. my hard is 8158. dont cake ur hair up wit products wash 2-3 times a week and always condition and stay away from excessive petroleum and mineral oil etc.(wavemaster21 has a thread on bad products) most ppl use olive/carrot creme as a moisturizer and i hear good things about pink lotion. some ppl use doo gro mega thick grease or lotion to thicken hair and it is a great moisturizer. pomades are used to highlight waves u already have or lay it down for wolfing sessions. starting out, pomade and shower brushing are good ways to lay hair down and train it 2 stay laid down. always wear a durag or wave cap at night(personal preference) i hope u getting tha help u need and dont 4 get 2 read stickies and threads. ur hair also reminds me of a coarse type texture (like mines) so i use drowyall's method when water makes my hair frizz up. also visit http://wavebuilder.com/training/ to read threads that some of our members used 2 post on there b4 coming here. dont join cuz it's dead there.
